Alentejo´s Tourism Seminar

On May 22nd, at 6pm, the Portuguese Tourism Board  together with the Embassy of Portugal in Ireland are organising a seminar to present some of the Alentejo´s region hidden treasures such as the Vicentina Route. Irish tour operators, travel agents, journalists and walking groups are welcome to participate

Rota Vicentina is a walking trail of 350 km along the Alentejo coastline, from Santiago do Cacém until Cape St. Vicente, in the Algarve. Divided into the  Historical Way and the Fishermen’s Trail, the route is fully signposted, in both directions, with intuitive and clearly visible route markers, so that anyone, regardless of their degree of familiarity with hiking, can make the journey independently and safely.

This Seminar is backed by the Alentejo’s Tourism Board and Casas Brancas Association, which gathers 34 traditional and picturesque B&B’s along the Vicentina Route.
